Today in class we took our test on North Korea. I got a 93 on it. Next semester im in here again.

Today in class we went over the 3 leaders of North Korea
Kim Ill-Sung (1948-1994)
Kim Jong-Ill (1994-2011)
Kim Jong-Un (2011- present)
in 1948 when Korea split, China and Russia had to start the north and the U.S had to start up the south.
in 1950 North Korea invaded South Korea which started the Korean War.
4th largest army
8 nations have successfully set off bombs. 5 signed a treaty to stop making bombs. India, Pakistan, and North Korea haven't.

Today in class we went over who Kim Il-Sung was. He lead North Korea from 1948-1994 before handing off power to his son. We talked about the Korean war and how we bombed major cities. Kim Il-Sung established "cult of personality". He destroyed over 2000 temples and churches because he told his people he was a god. In 1994, Kim Jon Ill took charge and ruled till 2011. Kim Jon Un took over in 2011. He is 32 years old and is the worlds youngest head of state. He really liked Micheal Jordan, He is a fan of Eric Clapton. He threatened the US with a "pre-emptive strike".

Today in class we saw a movie about North Korea, about how they lived. I saw they lived in a world of poverty and are isolated from the outside world. A man who can cure cataracts goes to North Korea to help patients and his journey is documented.

today we got our tests back, i got a 76, i honestly think i couldve done better, i hope my grade goes up one point soon, because i have a 79 and i need a B.
